With only a few days left in 2012, we're left to reflect on all that we've accomplished this year. And all that we wish to accomplish next year. Are you making resolutions? Perhaps you like to call them goals, which is wonderful. Resolutions and goals, in my opinion, are one in the same. They're both benchmarks, targets and ideas we wish to instill upon ourselves in an effort to make change, achieve something new or affect others in a positive light. While some of these resolutions/goals are easy to maintain from January through to December (or from start to finish), others stay unresolved or without achievement. This is especially true for many a fitness resolution. But I'm telling you...you can make and keep your fitness resolutions. You just have to be SMART about it:
For example, don't just say that you want to hit the gym more often. Determine that you've got the time to go at least twice a week at 6:00AM (or whatever) and make it happen. Don't just say that you want to become a runner. Find a training plan for a 5K race, one that you feel comfortable with, then research and sign up for a suitable 5K race.
I'm still not quite sure what my fitness resolutions/goals for 2013 will be. You can expect a post on that in the very near future. Until then, I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
Question: What are your fitness resolutions for 2013? Tell me below and set them in stone!

LOVE this graphic - great reminder of exactly how to set a good goal, and I especially like how positive each definition is :)
I love the smart goals idea. I've seen it before and always try to make my goals measurable, because general goals don't do much for me. I haven't decided on my goals yet for 2013, but I'm thinking one of them is going to be running 1,000 miles...
Thanks, Laura! Feel free to share it as you see fit. I'm all about spreading the positivity!
1,000 miles...that sounds awesome. Go for it, girl!
LMFAO! Totally posting a SMART post on Tuesday!
Oh my, but I have special guests involved, LOL!!
Um, well then I guess our posts will be different?! Great minds think alike?!
HECK YES they do ;)
Here are some of my goals, although I have a more extensive list going :) :

LOVE IT. You totally have to get your Spinning certification. If you've been Spinning at all, it'll be no problem. (FYI: The exam is open book...I didn't get a single question wrong!) Keep me posted!!!
