Rather, I should say that it WAS a beautiful day. My girl snoozed a three-hour nap, after which we headed downtown for a 3-mile walk along the beach.
Low 80's, slight breeze, and great scenery. Total perfection. I'm so grateful to live in such a beautiful place. Yeah, sure. The winters here suck, but everyday access to sights that tourists flock to for a few days here and there...well, you can't beat it. I'm spoiled, that's for sure. But again, not ungrateful.
Anyway.
Just popping in tonight to announce the random winner of the ICEdot bracelet:
Great safety rule, Amanda! Be sure to check out her blog, Run Principessa, for proof that "princesses can sweat, too." And be sure to check out the original giveaway post for more awesome safety rules. Some of my favorites:
"I stay engaged in my surroundings, looking around, over my shoulder occasionally, listening for unexpected or unnatural noises around me."
"Always ride or swim with friends."
"Tell someone where you are going and when you'll be back."
On that note...
Where am I going? To the living room. Olympics!
When will I be back? Tomorrow.
