Vacation, all I ever wanted...

Whenever I go on vacation, I think of that song by the GoGo's. I was obsessed with the GoGo's when I was little. "Vacation: All I ever wanted. Vacation: Had to get away..."

Last weekend, we left a cold Michigan and headed to a much warmer Mexico. Cozumel was just what my little family needed after a week of being sick (again).

Bake the bad germs away? Yes, please.
Medicate with a few margaritas?

I'm not that much of a drinker these days, but when in Mexico. Amiright?

Don't judge me. I had some non-alcoholic drinks, too.

Starbucks is everywhere, friends. Even in Cozumel, Mexico. Be proud of me. I only had iced coffee twice the entire week. (Note: Because I could only get there by car, and the rental car was not mine to drive.)

Enough about the drinks.

Most of the week was spent by the pool. Traveling with two littles who can't handle much sun meant that Jason and I were juggling time in and out of the sun. That's not a complaint, but gone are the days of lying poolside for hours on end. BUT—Thanks to Grammy and Grandpa (and floaties and nap time), we did find some time to relax with our books and magazines. I found this article about Momentum Jewelry in an old issue of Fitness:

(Remember, you can save 10% on any Momentum Jewelry purchase you make through my affiliate link. So excited to be an ambassador for such a great brand. If you follow me on Instagram, you've surely seen the wrap bracelets become a part of my arm candy collection. And of course, I've got footnotes all over my shoes.)

A vacation recap can't ever be complete, though, without mention of good eats. Because we certainly ate good all week. I don't know about you, but I'm a huge fan of Mexican food. Particularly tacos and guacamole. I'm certain I ate my weight in guac, and I know for sure I had tacos pretty much every day.

Look at all that cilantro! I don't even like cilantro. Unless it's on my tacos in Mexico. Then I make an exception.

I also make an exception when it comes to working out on vacation.

I ran twice. Each a four mile adventure. So be it.
That's what vacation is for: Rest and relaxation.

And if you go somewhere warm, vacations are also for sunny skies and palm trees.

I mean, I could go on and on, but:

Unless you're a blogger with a camera.

Elevator selfie.

Oh, and this was our second time in Cozumel. You can check out some pics from our first trip HERE.

Back to reality, though. I'm literally typing this as I sit completely surrounded by suitcases and dirty laundry. It's been a day of getting back into the swing of things.

Early morning run.
Clients at the gym.
Napping kiddos in the afternoon.
Grocery shopping.

You know.

Question: What's your favorite thing to do on vacation no matter where you go? And if you've been to Cozumel, what pops out as a favorite?
