Traveling kicks my butt.

So, we got home last night—why does a long day of traveling leave a person so exhausted? I mean, it's not like I walked home from Cozumel. I sat on my butt for hours on end, reading...sleeping, and generally just being. And yet, my butt is kicked! Dear readers, as a result, this post will be short but sweet. I shall leave you with a single exercise that will surely kick YOUR butt.

THE SQUAT/PULSE/JUMP BUTT KICKER: Start with your feet hip-width apart. Execute a proper squat, lowering yourself until your knees are bent to 90 degrees. Repeat 12 times, holding the squat on the 13th repetition. Pulse your butt up and down, repeating 12 times. After the 12th pulse, immediately execute 12 squat jumps. Be sure to reach your hands into the air each time you jump, making sure your squats are proper each and every time.

It's a real burner, no?

So looking forward to sharing Cozumel with you. And I've got another giveaway lined up!

Question: What's your secret to staying energized when you travel?

I love traveling - but like you, Tara, I'm not so much a fan of feeling like my life has been sucked out of me. I keep it real by keeping to a time table - i.e. making my body adjust to the time zone that I am headed to. That helps combat the jetlag. And keeping a stash of almonds, apples, and Element bars in my bag doesn't hurt either. ;)
