An @ActivMotion Bar Review and Workout #workoutwednesday #sweatpink

The following post is sponsored by ActivMotion Bar and FitApproach. Despite product and payment, all opinions are my own.

I use body bars in my classes and with my clients. They’re a great piece of fitness equipment, one you can find in almost any gym. So when FitApproach came to me with an opportunity to test out an ActivMotion Bar, I jumped at the chance.

ActivMotion Bars are quite similar to body bars, except that an internal steel rod is replaced by rolling steel balls. Yes, you can imagine how this will change any exercise you might do with a body bar. ActivMotion bars come in a variety of weights that range from six to 18 pounds, and cost anywhere from $120 to $160 when purchased individually. This might seem pricey, but I’m of the opinion that any piece of fitness equipment can be worth the investment if you think you’ll use it. (And let’s be honest, it’s probably going to be cheaper than a bad-health bill from your doctor’s office.)

You can also purchase a number of different instructional exercise videos, too.

Speaking of videos. Check this out:

As I mentioned in the video, and since it is Workout Wednesday, I put together a workout for you. Repeat the sequence four times through, doing 15 repetitions of each exercise. Please don’t forget to warm up and cool down as well! And always check with your doctor before trying anything new. Be smart, guys.

If you’re wondering what some of these moves are, I give you this:

Holy cow, two videos. New territory! So much to learn, just so much to learn.

Question: What’s the most random piece of fitness equipment you use? Anything non-traditional?
