What's in your #gymbag?

Believe it or not, Tuesday is the only day that I pack a legit gym bag. Every other day of the week, I get by on a purse. How is this possible? My schedule is so sporadic that I can jet to the gym, teach a class or exercise, come home and change. And then head back for clients with my purse full of standard essentials. But Tuesday, it's the day I head to the gym for two classes in a row...and two very different classes: Spinning and Kettlebells. So I have to pack a bag. And I've been using the same one from Lululemon for a few years now:

It was a gift, and it's been working out nicely. I get so many compliments on the color, the pockets are plenty and spacious, and the leather exterior holds up to all the stresses it sees. One downfall: It's heavy. Let's be honest, though. That's only because I pack the sucker full.

Here, take a look at what's inside my gym bag these days:

1) Shoes

I have to pack my running and Spinning shoes because I head to the gym in snow boots. Athletic shoes, man. They're my new high heels. I don't think I'll ever have enough.

2) Electronics

From a heart rate monitor to a stopwatch and my janky old iPod, to my iPhone and some ear gear...I'd be a sad instructor without all of this. Well, except for the earbuds. I obviously don't use those when I teach, but I'd die on the treadmill without them, so they stay in my bag so I don't ever lose them. And those black dots? Mic covers. No need to be spreadin' germs. I give all my instructors their own.

3) Essentials

I'm never without a snack, ever. Especially on Tuesdays when I need extra fuel to get me from Spinning through Kettlebells. And the notebooks? One is a calendar. I'm old-fashioned in my pencil-and-paper ways. And I typically have a staff meeting after my Kettlebells class, so I gotta be prepared.

4) Toiletries

I don't really feel the need to primp and pamper at the gym, but personal hygiene is important to me...especially at the gym, because sweat makes one quite stinky, and I don't ever want to be THAT person. So I keep these things on-hand just in case.

5) Rides

I'm still a rookie on the bike. I could never teach a class off the top of my head. I much prefer to have a plan so I keep a "library" of rides in my bag at all times.

Seriously, it's a lot of stuff, but I swear it all fits:

Question: What are some must-haves in your bag?

I drink a Coke in the a.m. And try to get water the rest of the day. Struggle at times though

I always keep a water bottle on me and make sure it is always filled before I leave home!

I do, too...and yet, I somehow still can't manage to drain it!

Way to put that pop cup to great use!

Iced tea is definitely good...I always have to sweeten mine just a bit, but I usually go with honey or fruit, so at least that's good!

Room temp water is the WORST!
