A Healthy Chocolate Milkshake

My lats are sore today. So are my triceps. I blame the TRX class I taught yesterday. I typically just bark orders, but the class was smaller than usual so I hopped on the extra straps. I haven't done a TRX workout in a long time. Clearly my muscles are telling me as much. Is it strange that I love being sore?

I'll wonder if I'll be sore tomorrow. I hit the gym at 6:00AM for a jaunt on the stationary bike. The weather wasn't looking so good in these parts, and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to take my girl on her weekly stroller adventure, but I wanted to be sure to get in some light cardio. So an early morning workout resulted (as did sunny skies throughout the afternoon). I also did the following ab routine:

And then I did some BOSU burpees. I love them so. Kind of like I loved my smoothie today.

Looks like sludge, right? Tastes like a healthy chocolate milkshake.

HEALTHY CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE
Source: My Brain

Ingredients
• 1 cup chocolate almond milk
• 1 small banana
• 1 heaping tbsp. nut butter ( I used NuttZo)
• 2 heaping spoonfuls of plain Greek yogurt
• Dash of cinnamon
• 4 ice cubes

Directions
Mix in a blender. Enjoy.

(I know. Those directions are pretty complicated.)

In other news, I wore my Vibrams to work today. I forgot about them for a while, and haven't really worn them much as of late, but I remembered today why I love them.

They're just so cool lookin', but most importantly, they're dang comfortable. I swear, though. Every time I wear them I get a "frog feet" comment. I need to start running in them again. Do you wear Vibrams? Do you wear socks with them? I wish I had some really lightweight, low-ankle socks to wear with them.

Anyway.

That's all I've got for you today. We're leaving town tomorrow and I'm hustling to get things ready for the weekend. More on that tomorrow. I hear the husband starting to tackle the dishes. Better go help.

Question: Do you wear Vibrams?  What are some of the reactions you get when you wear yours? How far can you run in them, and do you wear socks? Link me to your socks if you can.

Have you ever tried xocai healthy chocolate. It is awesome for athletes and the only really Healthy Chocolate out there with their patented cold processing method of making it. I am an ultra runner and have more energy and recover fast that when I was 16. It really is incredible. Chocolate is powerful! There is a youtube video I made recently running and taking Healthy Chocolate.
